The reference / research librarian provides the information and research needed by officials and staff of the Executive Office of the President with regard to government-wide and / or national and international concerns relating to policy-making at the highest levels of the Executive branch of the federal government. The incumbent responds to reference and research requests requiring provision of definitive and authoritative information in a confidential and discreet manner. Uses primary and secondary electronic and print resources to locate and select appropriate political science, American government, legal, legislative, business administration, international relations, public policy and administration, etc. material needed to supply the information requested. Is able to package information that is useful to the clients. Keeps informed of new publications and legislative materials and commercial services that support the mission of the EOP. Establishes electronic alerts on specific topics for clients as requested. Participates in the EOP new staff orientation program by presenting training to EOP staff on how to use the collection, the library's online catalog and the electronic resources located on the Virtual Library. Mental Health Social Worker
You will be working in a supportive multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the range of skills and expertise already in the team. You will carry out assessments in the assessment clinics and act as a care co-ordinator to clients in the community under CPA and on being discharged from hospital. High priority is given to working together with service users families and careers to enhance the independence and quality of life of people with mental health problems. You will receive regular supervision and appraisal from a senior social worker within the team and have excellent opportunities for continued professional development including further training. We are looking for an Approved Mental Health Practitioner or qualified Social Worker with a willingness to train as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner to join our well established community mental health team. You would be expected to have a good understanding of relevant legislation and statutory duties, excellent communication duties and high standards of professional practice. Criminal Investigator
Plans, organizes and conducts a variety of criminal investigative and analytical assignments to include: analyzes initial allegations and recommends required investigative resources and collateral support; investigates allegations of crime, crime scenes, and misconduct; plans and conducts surveillances or undercover work; apprehends and arrests persons violating U.S. laws and conducts searches and seizures incident to the arrest or when appropriate by warrant; prepares reports and presents findings orally and in writing to managers, prosecutors, and other high-level officials; testifies as a government witness before Grand Juries and in court regarding criminal cases and testifies at administrative hearings in non-criminal cases. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing duties such as: conducting multi-jurisdictional and multi-defendant investigations relating to bribery, various fraud schemes, theft, abuse, violations of civil rights, conflicts of interest, and internal misconduct investigations.
