Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist administers agency standardized (OT) Occupational Therapy evaluations of patient functions and deficits consistent with requirements of homecare practice. Establishes a treatment plan of care for physician review and approval. Documents treatment given and patient response for the clinical record. Records summary and secures physician orders for continuing care. Educates patient, family, and Home Health Aids as appropriate. Participates in patient discharge planning to meet continuing care needs. Participates in multi-disciplinary care conferences as indicated. Secures medical equipment for patient as part of care plan. Performs other duties, as assigned. Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the company's mission and values and adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct. Maintains high regard for member and patient privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures. Regular reliable attendance is expected and required. Requirements: BS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited undergraduate program and at least 1 year of direct experience and current NYS OT licensure required; demonstrated experience working with community resources using strong interpersonal dynamics, quality improvement strategies and techniques; required ability to interpret and discuss written medical documentation; expert skills in presenting case information; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills helpful but not required. Location: New York, USA. Salary: USD45,000 yearly.

Medical Risk Administrator

This is a great opportunity to get work in the Medical Risk area. To administer and underwrite where applicable all data received from clients within guidelines. As an administrative assistant you will be providing comprehensive administrative support to this Department within the community's health and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities underwriting applications for all new groups and for new applications for existing groups to minimize the risk of claims to the association; requesting further information from relevant sources to assist in making a sound underwriting decision; referring unusual applications to the Chief Medical Advisor for advice and guidance to assist in making the underwriting decision; answering all telephone inquiries related to underwriting to resolve them in an efficient and timely manner; reviewing all special conditions when requested by members or member service centres to ascertain if a special condition can be removed and investigating and resolving date of onset queries to ensure that the subscriber is not trying to defraud the association; processing all incoming work within the set SLAs; highlighting any underwriting discrepancies on completed work via the Quality Mailbox and sharing knowledge and skills within the team to ensure maximum performance; ensuring complaints received via other areas of the business both internally and externally are logged appropriately and acted upon. Location: Lancashire, England. Salary: GBP15,000 per annum.

CVOR Technician

The CVOR Tech provides care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include: plans the care needs of the patient before and during surgical procedure; provides care to the patient undergoing surgical procedures; provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients; carries out physician orders; administers medications and applies dressings; assists physician and physician assistant during procedures; maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique; assists in the coordination of the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies; ensures the proper handling of specimens; communicates patient condition as appropriate; provides age and culturally appropriate care; orients and mentors new staff members; follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required; performs cardiothoracic and vascular procedures; assists in main OR procedures as determined by day charge nurse.Education:graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3+ years of experience in scrubbing CV procedures; preferred CST. Location: New Mexico, USA. Salary: USD46,758 yearly.
