Finance Manager
We are looking to appoint a Finance Manager who has qualified thru the Big 4. You will be the organizations subject matter, expert on accounting for Fixed Assets, intangible assets and WIP. Your portfolio will cover a multi-billion asset process and one of the largest organizations in New Zealand. You will manage a team of 3 and have great visibility and exposure to the wider business. You will be joining a business who is going thru fantastic change, a business that serves the community and work with some of the smartest people around. Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years post CA experience and have been equipped across complex organizations. A competitive salary is in place for you. Location: Several Locations in Auckland, New Zealand. Salary: $130,000.
Finance Clerk
The position reports to the Finance Officer and may take instruction from the Finance Manager and other members of senior administration in the above mentioned units. This position provides support in University-Industry Liaison Office (UILO), Office of Research Services (ORS), Strategic Partnership Group (SP), Clinical Research Ethics Board (CREB), and Institutional Programs Office (CFI/BCKDF/WD).Work Performed: Enters data in INTEUM database (intellectual property management system) and ensures it is accurate and properly maintained for tracking; payment of patent application and maintenance fees; payment of legal fees; patent and legal fee recoveries; license revenue payments received. The right candidate processes department accounts payables including: patent expenses; general office expenses; travel expense claims and reimbursement; royaltys distribution to various parties; reconciles monthly ledgers for general expense accounts and investigates and resolves errors. He / She will perform the functions of data-entry for FMS Live update, reconciles department purchase cards, performs daily cheque deposits for various revenue sources and performs other related duties as required. Location: Several Locations in Vancouver, Canada. Salary: CAD 12.40 per hour.
General Ledger Officer
We are seeking an experienced candidate that ideally holds a BComm Accounting Degree. This person will be responsible for the processing of general ledger journals - ensure that financial account and cost centers are correct; keeps record of financial transactions processed (journals, reconciliations and employee expense claims); general ledger account reconciliations and follow up of outstanding items; prepare expense claims for cost allocation and capturing; reconciles all ST local and foreign advances; processes expense claims in terms of the policy and VAT legislation; records daily allowances per staff member, per category and operating unit on a monthly basis. Qualifications, skills and experience: Relevant experience in a financial / bookkeeping environment; general knowledge of double-entry accounting concepts (debits and credits); general knowledge of different methods of accounting including cash and accrual; general knowledge of how financial transactions affect the organizational financial reports; must be computer literate with mathematical, analytical ability, and organizational ability. Location: Several Locations in Gauteng, South Africa. Salary: R295,000 - R395,000 Annually.
