Fencing Builder / Installer / Labourer / Construction Worker
Enjoy the feeling of creating something you can be proud of. This is a diverse role which is mostly new built work. To be successful in this role, you will be willing to undertake general labouring, assist with construction of fencing and grain silos as well as maintenance of fencing plant. You will be pro-active, display an attention to detail and have an optimistic "can do" attitude to an already motivated team. You will bring your strong work ethic to the role and be physically fit. In addition, you will be required to use your good hand-eye co-ordination, ability to operate various machinery, read drawings and maps, welding skills and all-round trade, farm maintenance or mechanical abilities to this role. You will be reporting to the Crew Leader and be happy to work within a small team. The successful applicant will have the following background of skills and attributes: Experienced life working outdoors and on-sites (preferably rural agricultural); good hand-eye co-ordination and good mechanical aptitude. Be able to operate and have experience with machinery (including farm machinery);bring excellent welding skills and be able to pass a weld test; display sound maths and english skills, have the ability to read and interpret drawings;
be willing and available work 38 hrs. per week: 7:30am Monday to Friday;

Wood Worker
Work involves the construction, installation, and repair of shipping and storage containers and material handling items such as boxes, crates, skids, pallets, and storage bins made from wood or wood substitute materials. The work requires skill in using hand and power tools and machines to measure, cut, install and fasten wood substitute materials, and the knowledge and ability to follow, select, or adapt patterns, templates, and procedures to made, install and repair wood and wood substitute items. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to use hand and powered tools, machines, and measuring and squaring devices to cut, nail, staple, screw, bolt or fasten wood and wood-like boards, sheets, parts or sections. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Apply a full range of knowledge of wood working techniques. Incumbent is skilled in measuring, laying out, developing, or changing plans to repair or fabricate wooden parts or items. Selects proper materials for construction of such things as crates, containers, boxes, bins, braces, etc. of various shapes and sizes for a variety of standard and special applications. Required to make standard joints and grooves, such as rabbet, lap, dado, tongue and groove, miter cuts and doweled edge joints required for secure and weathertight containers. Incumbent is skilled in using woodworking and layout devices, and standard woodworking tools, both manual and power. Plans and lays out work and material in accordance with a good working knowledge of woodworking techniques and an understanding of the properties of a variety of hard and soft woods, and composite materials. Maintains and performs operator level preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, to include lubrication of power tools and sharpening of saw blades. Performs other duties as assigned.
